#10 years looking forward

Challenge 144: 10 Years, Looking Forward: Chippy and Friends Parade: Celebrating 10 Years!

Who doesn’t love a great parade, where the music is on key and the sound is one. I love marching bands, and have always wanted to attend the Bands of America Championships. I am hoping that in the next 10 years, (that should be plenty of time) I take a trip and make it to at least one. For my illustration, I took Chippy my go to raccoon and had his friends join in on the celebration for the 10 year anniversary of Square Carousel. The Challenge was: “10 Years, Looking Forward” can be interpreted many ways. You could illustrate something personal, about where you see yourself in 10 years, or perhaps where you see the future of our world in a decade. It can optimistic, pessimistic, scientific, emotional, humorous or anything else. All we want is to see everyone give it their all, since this is our last challenge! I graduated SCAD in 2010 with a BFA in Illustration. Currently I am working on opening Hey Elmer Design Co. which is a creative studio offering design, illustration and branding for print media and we also do in house screen printing for art and apparel. Hopefully opening a physical location some time in 2022. In ten years I hope to be running a successful print studio. Square Carousel helped me grow and continue my illustration practice at a time when I felt a bit lost and felt like I was loosing my creativity. I was honored to be a part of it along with so many great illustrators. I want to thank Elizabeth and Caitlin who welcomed me to the group a few years back.
